Eli Joseph Cossman ( born Eli Joseph Cossman ; April 13, 1918 , Pittsburgh - December 7, 2002 , Palm Springs ) is an American entrepreneur.
Demobilized from the American army shortly after the end of World War II , he went into business. Kossman's first successful transaction was the sale of laundry detergent to European countries, which was sorely missed there: by placing advertisements in European newspapers, he received orders for $ 180,000, which made him $ 30,000 in profit. This company was one of the first successful mail order business projects. Kossman was engaged in this type of business in the future. He summarized his experience in a book repeatedly published [1] with the characteristic American title, “How I Earn Two Million on Order Trading - and You Can Do the Same!” ( How I Made 2,000,000 in Mail Order-and You Can Too! )
