History

Joint Stock Company Phoenix Solar appeared on the initiative of "Bund der Energieverbraucher eV" ("Cooperative Energy Consumers"), which was founded in 1994. Officially, the company was founded on November 18, 1999, and on January 7, 2000 it was entered into the official register of companies. On May 25, 2007, at a general annual meeting, the list of shareholders approved the renaming of the company from Phönix SonnenStrom AG to Phoenix Solar AG. The main office of Phoenix Solar is located in the north-west of Munich, but small offices are also located in other parts of Germany, as well as in Italy, Spain, Greece, Singapore and Australia.

From November 18, 2004, Phoenix SonnenAktie (company shares) were sold on the stock exchange in Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Bremen and Stuttgart. With the start of stock trading in Munich, part of the Munich stock exchange was given away to small and medium-sized companies. And on July 27, 2005, JSC Phoenix Solar gained access to additional capital and a wide investment audience. On June 27, 2006, Phoenix shareholders were officially registered in the register and began their trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Prime Standard). Since March 2008, Phoenix Solar shares have been credited to the TecDAX stock market list.
