Russell Hornsby ( born Russell Hornsby , born May 15, 1974 , Auckland , California ) is an American theater and television actor. Best known for her role as Hank Griffin in the NBC television series Grimm [3] [4] .

Biography
Hornsby was a footballer at St Mary's College in Berkeley , California . He auditioned for the spring musical and got the role of the Scarecrow in The Wizard of the Emerald City. After that, he became interested in theater and participated in other school productions. After graduation, he studied theater at Boston University, who graduated with a degree in performance. After graduation, Hornsby continued his studies at the British Academy of Oxford University, where he studied theatrical art.
