Charles Edward "Ed" Macauley ( born Charles Edward "Ed" Macauley ; March 22, 1928 in St. Louis , Missouri , USA - November 8, 2011 , ibid.) Is an American professional basketball player who played for the National Basketball Association St. Louis Bombers ”,“ Boston Celtics ”and“ St. Louis Hawks ”. NBA Champion in the Hawks. Member of the Basketball Hall of Fame since 1960.

Biography

Macauli played for the St. Louis Bombers , Boston Celtics and St. Louis Hawks in the NBA . He was named the most valuable player in the first match of all the NBA stars . For ten seasons in the league scored 11234 points. In 1960, Macaulie was included in the Hall of Fame . He still holds the record as the youngest player included in the Hall of Fame (32 years old) [2] . His game number 22 was retired by the Boston Celtics team. In 1989, Macaulay became deacon of the Catholic Church.

On November 8, 2011, he died at his home in St. Louis , Missouri . He was 83 years old.
