Morgun is a mountain in the Caucasus , in the Petrovsky district of the Stavropol Territory . It is part of the Prikalau heights .

Geographical Description
The mountain is located southwest of the village Prosyanka , and is the dominant peak. The mountain is folded, like all of the near-Klaus height, by layers of Neogene sandstones , limestones , and in the near-tip part it is complicated by collapses and rocky protrusions, in the depth of which there are niches up to 6-8 m deep.
Title History
According to local belief, the history of the name of the mountain goes to the end of the XVIII century, when a Cossack picket stood on the mountain. Once the guard post "blinked" the approach of the enemy. Since then, the mountain is called Morgun.
