Biography

After returning to the Don, he immediately took part in organizing the fight against the invasion of the Red Guard. He participated in the Steppe campaign of the detachment of General Popov P. Kh. As a deputy chief. Ataman Headquarters (since February 1918). Participant in the uprising in Art. Ust-Khopersky in April 1918. Since July 1918 - commander of the 3rd foot detachment. When a general uprising began in the Don, on behalf of the Marching Ataman, he formed detachments in the Ust-Medveditsky okrug. On August 29, 1918 - the commander of a detachment of troops of the Ust-Medveditsky district. In March 1919 - Army foreman, acting head of the 5th cavalry division. Major General (March 1919). Since March 1919 - Assistant Chief of the 4th Cavalry Division. Until May 12, 1919 - Head of the 1st Don Pedestrian Division (from May 12 - 3rd Don Plastun Brigade). In June 1919 - the head of the foot Cossack detachment. In August 1919, he was the commander of the 4th Cossack brigade on foot. In October 1919, he was the head of the 3rd Don Plastoon Brigade. From December 1919 to March 1920 - commander of the 2nd (Consolidated) Don Corps. Lieutenant General (November 1919). In the Russian army, General Wrangel did not receive a post, remaining in the reserve of the Don Corps (April – November 1920), until the evacuation of Crimea . In exile in Yugoslavia, in 1920-1929 - the commander of hundreds of the Don Cadet Corps. In March 1942, participated in Belgrade (Yugoslavia) in the elections and. about. military chieftain VVD . Towards the end of World War II he ended up with his family in Trieste (Italy). After 1950, in France. He died in a nursing home on July 3, 1958 in Cannes (France).
