Noto ( 能 登 半島 noto hanto:, [ noto hantoː ]) is a peninsula in the central part of the Japanese island of Honshu . Located in the prefectures of Ishikawa and Toyama. The largest peninsula of the island in the Sea of Japan .

The length from north to south is about 100 km, from west to east - from 30 to 50 km. Most are located on the territory of Ishikawa Prefecture, and the eastern part is in the city of Khimi , Toyama Prefecture.
The eastern part of the peninsula, which is washed by the waters of Toyama Bay, is called the “Inland” (Utiura); western, washed by the waters of the Sea of Japan - “Outer” (Sotoura). In addition, the front end of the peninsula is called “Far Noto” (Oku-Noto), the base of the peninsula is called “Noto attacks” (Kuti-Noto), and the coastline in the area of Nana and Khimi is “Sea” (Nadaura). On the inner side of the peninsula is Noto Island, which divides Nana Bay into small parts - South, West and North.
The relief of the peninsula is hilly, sometimes flat. The highest point is located at the base - Mount Khodatsu, 637 m high. It is part of the Khodatsu hills, which run from north to south and serve as the border between Ishikawa and Toyama Prefectures.
