Short Biography

Since 1908, he was a teacher at the Russian-Tatar school in the city of Mamadysh , since 1918 - in educational institutions of Kazan .

In 1929-1964 he taught at the Kazan State Pedagogical Institute . He was a student and follower of Professor V. A. Bogoroditsky . He made the first translations of the scientific works of V. A. Bogoroditsky into the Tatar language. From 1930 to 1949 he was the head of the Tatar language department of the Kazan State Pedagogical Institute.

Historically, Professor M. A. Fazlullin is the founder and first head of the Tatar language department in the country's universities.

A participant in the reforms of the Tatar script, the author of the first primer based on the Latin alphabet (1929).

M. A. Fazlullin made a great contribution to the formation and development of the Kazan magazine " Magarif " ("Enlightenment"). This was the first Soviet pedagogical journal in the Tatar language, which systematically covered the problems in the field of public education.

He died in Kazan in 1964.

Scientific and pedagogical heritage

Works on Tatar philology, history of Tatar writing, methods of teaching the Tatar language in the Tatar school [2] .
