The film is based on the book by Francesc Esribano “Countdown. The Story of El Salvador Puig Antica, describing the execution of the anarchist El Salvador Puig Antica , the last one who was executed under garrison under the dictatorship of Francisco Franco .

Content

Story

Spain , early 1970s . In Barcelona , a young anarchist student, the anarchist Salvador Puig Antik, was arrested and placed in a cell for the murder of a policeman. In his person, the government of Franco takes revenge on all the disgruntled regime.

In conversations with a lawyer, there are episodes of the life of El Salvador: participation in anti-fascist demonstrations, bank robbery, printing of forbidden literature ... Among these classes was time for passionate love passion, hobbies for music, good literature.

All the efforts of the lawyer were in vain. El Salvador is sentenced to death. He is executed on the garrot , after which unrest begins in the country, which acted as a catalyst for the transition from Franco's dictatorship to democracy.
