Biography
Born on October 30, 1921 in the village of Esaulovo, Kirovo-Chepetsk district of the Kirov region. Russian. After finishing 7 classes he worked at a furniture factory.
Service in the Red Army
In the Red Army since April 1941 . On the fronts of World War II since July 1941. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944 .
In the summer of 1944, during the breakthrough of the enemy’s defense in the Kovel area, Sergeant A.M. Esaulov destroyed one manual and one easel machine gun with a servant, which helped advance the infantry. During the crossing of the river, the Western Bug crushed the enemy artillery battery with mortar fire.
By order No. 14H of the Zaporizhzhya Mortar Regiment of July 26, 1944, the commander of the mortar of the 2nd Division of the 2nd Battery, Sergeant A. M. Esaulov, was awarded the medal " For Military Merit " [2] .
The mortar calculation commander of the 141st army mortar regiment, sergeant Alexander Esaulov, commanding the soldiers of the calculation entrusted to him, for the period from August 1 to 5, 1944 in battles on the Magnushevsky bridgehead transported the mortar to the left bank of the Vistula River, where he destroyed and scattered machine gunners before platoon, crushed enemy artillery battery, giving our infantry the opportunity to advance.
For courage and bravery shown in battles, on August 27, 1944, Sergeant Esaulov Alexander Mikhailovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
On January 14-15, 1945, when breaking through the enemy’s fortified defense strip on the left bank of the Vistula river near the village of Tsetsilyuv , located 20 kilometers southwest of the Polish city of Rychivul , sergeant Esaulov, at the head of the calculation, repelled four enemy attacks, covered two machine guns with mortar fire , struck over a dozen Nazis.
For courage and bravery shown in battles, on March 7, 1945, Sergeant Esaulov Alexander Mikhailovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
At the end of April - beginning of May 1945, in the battles for Berlin , Sergeant Esaulov crossed the Teltov canal with calculation soldiers and put down an anti-aircraft gun, three machine guns from a mortar, and exterminated over fifteen enemy soldiers. In battles on the streets of the city, Esatslov killed nine enemy soldiers with personal weapons and captured four of them.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, for the exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with the Nazi invaders, Sergeant Esaulov Alexander Mikhailovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming the full holder of the Order of Glory.
In 1947 A.M. Esaulov was demobilized.
After the war
He returned to the village. He worked on a collective farm. He died on June 28, 1957 . He was buried in the village of Bakhta, Kirovo-Chepetsk district of the Kirov region.
