Geography
SMO is located in the northern part of the Gorodovikovsky district on the northern slopes of the Stavropol Upland , which gently descend to the Kumo-Manych depression . The territory of the SMO is drained by the Hagin-Sal river and a watercourse in the Djalje beam.
It borders in the south with the Vinogradnensky SMO , in the west and north with the Rostov Region , and in the east with the Yashalta Region (Yashalta, Ulyanovsk and Esto-Altai SMOs).
