“The Department of Wet Affairs” ( eng. Blue Murder ) is a Canadian detective series in the genre of “ police drama ” [1] . From January 2001 to July 2004, 4 seasons were filmed, totaling 52 episodes (13 episodes in each season). The series has been shown on the channel Global Television Network since January 10, 2001 . The last episode was shown on July 9, 2004 [2] [3] . In Russia, the series was fully shown by the Russian version of the TV channel Hallmark [4] .
From 2001 to 2004, the television series repeatedly (more than 20 times) was nominated for prestigious awards in the field of television and won them many times .
The television series talks about the special police department of Toronto , whose officers are investigating particularly serious crimes. As a rule, the department investigates the killings, but sometimes crimes against children, kidnapping, and other offenses fall within their jurisdiction. At the same time, the personal life of the main characters of the television series developed.
