The area of the lake is 3.8 km², the catchment area is 525 km² [2] . Altitude - 144.9 m [3] .
The Borovna River flows into the lake [4] . Through a small lake, Mosno is connected to the reservoir Zaozerye - the source of Peretny .
On the shore of the lake stands the village of Peretno Beryozovik rural settlement .

The length from the source to the Vyshnevolotsky railway station, the river sub-basin of the lake is Volkhov.
