Yisroel-Michael Kaplinsky ( 1874 - 1918/1919 Saratov , RSFSR ) (agent's pseudonym - Pavlov ) - one of the prominent figures of Bund [1] , an agent of the Central Committee of Bund, an agent of the Police Department .

Biography

Born into a poor Jewish family. Received primary education. Typography worker.

September 25 - 27 , 1897 - delegate of the I (Constituent) Congress of the General Jewish Workers Union ( Bund ). One of the organizers and workers of an underground printing house in Bobruisk ( Belarus ).

On the night of June 26, 1898 , the printing house was crushed by police officers. Printing workers, including Kaplinsky and his wife Merle, were arrested. By order of the leadership of the Police Department, the arrested were transferred to Moscow. As a result of conversations conducted by the head of the Moscow security department S. V. Zubatov , Kaplinsky agreed to become an agent of the Police Department. Judicial decision, for the organization and work of an illegal printing house, Kaplinsky was sentenced to exile for 4 years in Siberia. Released from custody after the trial and continued his revolutionary and undercover activities. In 1900, according to Kaplinsky, the Bund organization in Kovno was disclosed.

In 1901, a delegate to the IV Congress of Bund from the party organization of the city of Dvinsk ( Vitebsk province ) (now Latvia ). From 1903 he worked on the instructions of the security department in the city of Vilna in the social democratic organizations. [2]

Exposed at the end of 1909 by L.P. Menschikov , a former police officer , [3] .

He lived in Kazan and Saratov .

After the February Revolution , in April 1917, he was arrested in Saratov by the provincial government of the Provisional Government . After the October Revolution and the coming to power of the Bolsheviks in Saratov ( July 1918 ), the results of the investigation were considered, and according to the verdict of the revolutionary tribunal, Kaplinsky was executed.
