Yuri Ivanovich Solovyov (born September 30, 1924 , Krasnoyarsk , RSFSR ) is a Soviet and Russian historian of chemistry . Doctor of chemical sciences, professor. Corresponding member of the International Academy of the History of Science (1961) and the Latvian Academy of Sciences . In 1948 he graduated from Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov . Since 1948, he worked at the Institute of the History of Natural Science and Technology of the USSR Academy of Sciences .
