Biography

He received his primary education in an illegally operating school in the occupied capital, after the war he graduated from the Lyceum. S. Bathory. Historian. Graduate of the University of Warsaw . After graduating from university in 1951-1952 he worked as a teacher. From 1956 to 1976 he worked as an editor of New Books (Nowe książki). In 1976 he retired on disability.

Since 1976 - a member of the Union of Polish Writers , later - the Club of Writers of the Democratic Group

Creativity

Began to print in 1951. The first publication of E. Seversky was the poem "Instant Pictures from the Marshalkovsky Residential Area" ("Migawki z MDM-u"). As a prose writer made his debut in 1956 with the story “Celina” in the magazine “Modernity” (“Współczesność”).

The author of short stories and novels in the genre of detective and science fiction , a number of works of horror literature , as well as popular science works on Freemasonry and Polish esotericism .

He was the first in Poland to write a monograph on a detective story as a literary genre, and became the first Polish author of works on Freemasonry.
