Khur [1] [2] [3] , or Khur [1] [2] [3] , or Hvor [1] [2] , or Khvor [1] [2] ( Pers. خور ) is a small town on south of Iran , in the province of Fars . It is part of the shahrestan Larestan .

Geography and climate
The city is located in the southern part of Fars, in the highlands of southeastern Zagros , at an altitude of 867 meters above sea level [1] . Hur is located approximately 270 kilometers southeast of Shiraz , the provincial capital and 930 kilometers southeast (SSE) of Tehran , the country's capital. The climate of the city is arid, with a small (about 200 mm) amount of precipitation during the year. The average annual temperature is +23 ° C.
Population
According to the census, in 2006 the population was 6,370 people [3] ; Persians (carriers of the Khuri dialect) prevail in the national composition, and Sunni Muslims in the confessional.
