Emanuele Park - one of the oldest resort parks in Pyatigorsk , spread on the Mikhailovskaya Mountain. It was created in the classical English style from 1828 to 1830 according to the project of the architect Giuseppe Bernardazzi .
The construction of the park was started by Lieutenant General George Emanuel , in whose honor he received his name. The Mikhailovsky Gallery is located in the park (with Mikhailovsky sources ); there is the Aeolian hill (614 m), on which the Aeolian harp rises, and a little lower under it is the Lermontov's grotto . The upper parts of the Goryachevodsky and Mikhailovsky spurs are, as it were, connected by an architectural ensemble - the Academic Gallery . The Lermontov’s House Museum is located on the southern slope of St. Michael’s Mountain (Lermontov St.).
