History
- The school leads its history from a glider school in Old Crimea and the Kaluga Aviation Sports Club named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky . The formation of the Central Glider School (TsPSh) was begun in February 1949 in accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR . The central vocational school is based in Kaluga at the intersection of Kirov and Teatralnaya streets; at the end of December 1959 the school was transferred to the village of Grabtsevo, Kaluga Region .
- In 1949, gliding was included in the Unified All-Union Sports Classification. USSR glider sport championships are beginning to be held, and the TsPSh DOSAV is actively preparing glider pilots and glider instructors.
- In 1951, in connection with the founding of DOSAAF [1], it was given the name TsPSh DOSAAF of the USSR .
- By a decision of the DOSAAF Central Committee, in March 1957, the school began to master the Mi-1 helicopter and trained pilots and helicopter instructors. Helicopter sports at that time was the youngest sport in the world, so there are more people who want to go to school than training places. However, here (one of the first in the USSR) an experimental training group of five women was organized - future helicopter pilots [2] [3] .
In the same year, the school was renamed the Central Glider Helicopter School of the USSR DOSAAF (TsPVSh) .
- In February - March 1964, the Saransk TSOLTSH (Central United Flight Technical School of 1935-1964) was redeployed to the Central Command and Control School [4] [5] .
The school was named after the Central United Flight Technical School DOSAAF of the USSR . Here, too (according to tradition), a female group is being formed, which mastered the MiG-15bis jet planes [6] .
- Based on the decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 700 dated 28. 08.1970, the Kaluga Aviation and Technical School of the USSR DOSAAF (KATU) was created on the basis of the school [7] .
- According to the Decision of the Bureau of the Board of the Central Council of ROSTO (DOSAAF) No.? On April 22, 1993, the Kaluga Aviation Flight Technical School ROSTO (KALTU) was created on the basis of KATU.
The school trained program specialists:
