Samsas traum

The name Samsas Traum (with German - “Dream of Zamzy”) is a reference to the character Gregor Zamze from the story “ Transformation ” by Franz Kafka , an allusion to whose work can be found in many Samsas Traum compositions.

The history of the group began in 1996 , when Alexander Kashte independently released a Kazanian demo - Nostalgische Atavismen ("Remnants of Nostalgia"). Three years later, in March 1999 , he managed to sign a contract with the famous darkstage label Trisol Music Group and release his first studio album.

Despite many disagreements between Trisol and Alexander Kashte, their cooperation continues now. To date, Trisol has released 9 Samsas Traum albums, not including singles and re-releases.
