Konstantinov Roman Innokentievich ( October 14, 1896 , 1st Bolugursky lodge, Botrussky ulus, Yakutsk region - 1994 , village of Mindagai , Churapchinsky ulus , Yakutia ) - herder, Hero of Socialist Labor (1948). The first in Yakutia was awarded this title.

Biography

Roman Konstantinov was born in the family of a Yakut peasant on October 14, 1896 in the 1st Bolugursky settlement on the Botrussky ulus of the Yakutsk region [1] . After the death of his parents, he lived with his grandmother. Since 1933, he worked as a herder on the Konstantinov collective farm, then, since 1938, on the Frunze collective farm as the head of the horse farm. During his work on the collective farm, Roman Innokentyevich was able to increase the number of collective farm herds by 168%, achieving a 100% birth rate for mares. In 1947, it reached a record high - 55 foals reared from the same number of mares.

For high labor successes, on August 5, 1948, Konstantinov Roman Innokentyevich was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor by a decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal .

There lived Konstantinov in the village of Mindagay of the Churapchinsky ulus . At the age of 18, he married, in addition to his own daughter, raised 5 adoptive children with his wife. Twice - in 1949 and 1958 he was elected to the Supreme Council of the Yakut ASSR. He died in 1994 at the age of 98.
