Britos, Miguel

Miguel Britos began his career in 2005 at the Phoenix Club of Montevideo . He spent two seasons for this team after playing in 37 matches and scoring 5 goals. In 2006, he moved to Juventud Las Piedras , where he also performed for two seasons. In July 2007, Britos was bought by the Montevideo Wanderers club ^[2] , for which the player spent 14 games and scored 1 goal.

In 2008, Miguel was bought by the Italian Bologna for 4 million euros ^[3] . On September 21, he made his team debut in a match against Fiorentina . In the first season, the Uruguayan defender spent 16 games in the team and scored 1 goal. The following season, Britos gradually became the main player of the “Bologna”, having spent 24 matches in a season. In the 2010/11 season, Miguel won the spot at the base of the club. During the season, the football player spent 34 matches and scored 3 goals. After a successful season, Juventus and Napoli ^[4] , Hispaniol ^[5] and Manchester City ^[6] began to claim a football player.

On July 12, 2011, Britos moved to Napoli ^[7] , who paid for it for 8 million euros, plus the rent of Luigi Vitale ^[8] . The contract was signed for 4 years ^[9] with a salary of 1.4 million euros ^[10] . During the preseason tournament, the Joan Gamper Cup , in a match with Barcelona , Britos received a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone of his right leg, due to which he remained out of football for 4 months ^[11] . On January 12, 2012, for the first time after an injury, he entered the field in the Italian Cup match with Cesena .

July 22, 2015 moved to Watford . The contract is signed for a period of 3 years.
