The length of the fjord is 26 km, the width is from 4 to 9 km. At the base of the fjord are two glaciers : Kronebrin and Kongswegen . On the south coast is the village of Ny-Ålesund . The Kongs Fjord is an important feeding ground for marine mammals and birds .
