Design
It was a smaller and cheaper copy of the cruiser Valkyrie , which seemed too expensive to the Danish government . The world's first artillery ship with water tube boilers designed by Tornicroft [1] . The 150 mm guns were quick-fire and could only fire one shot per minute.
Service
He was considered a cruiser until 1906 , periodically carried out patrol service off the coast of Iceland . Since 1906 he became a training ship . In 1913 he was disarmed, since 1914 he served as a submarine base . Since 1915 it became a floating barracks .
