Career
Rymer began his professional career at the ESV Kaufbeuren club in 2001. With this club already in the next season he entered the second German league. Having played three seasons for ESV Kaufbeuren, and becoming one of the team leaders, Rymer raised the bar for his performance and moved to the German Premier League club (DEL) DEG Metro Stars . After several unsuccessful seasons, he began to reach his goal scorer level and already in the 2007/08 season he scored 19 goals in 45 games in the regular season, plus another 7 goals in the playoffs. After this season, Rymer played stably, for the regular season he scored 40-43 points. In 2012, Ice Tigers moved to Nuremberg . He began to be involved in the main national team of Germany only in 2010-2011.
Patrick has a younger brother Jochen , who is also a professional hockey player and played for several seasons with him at the clubs ESV Kaufbeuren and DEG Metro Stars . Now Jochen Reimer is the goalkeeper of the Ingolstadt club.
In the national team of Germany, a participant in the 2011 World Cup. Silver medalist at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games.
On April 11, 2018, he completed his career in the German national team.
