Starobinsky district

The Starobinsky District is an administrative-territorial unit within the Byelorussian SSR , which existed in 1924-1962. The center is a town (since 1938 - an urban settlement) Starobin .

Starobinsky district was formed in 1924 as part of the Slutsk district . In 1926, the area of ​​the district was 1336 km², and the population of 35.2 thousand people. In 1927, the district with the elimination of the Slutsk district was transferred to the Bobruisk district .

In 1930, when the district system was abolished, the Starobinsky District came under the direct control of the BSSR. In 1935 he was included in the newly formed Slutsk district. With the introduction of the regional division in 1938 included in the Minsk region . In 1944-1954 he entered the Bobruisk region . After liquidation, the latter was returned to the Minsk region.

As of January 1, 1947, the district had an area of ​​1.4 thousand km ². It consisted of the urban settlement Starobin and 13 village councils: Dolgovsky, Domanovichsky, Zazhevichsky, Kopatsevichsky, Krasnodvoretsky, Listopadovichsky, Mazurschinsky, Metievichsky, Pogostsky, Sukhomilsky, Chepelevsky, Chervonoozersky, Chizhevichsky.

In December 1962, the Starobinsky District was abolished, and its territory entered the Lyubansky District .
