Yury Pavlovich Gusev (born January 28, 1939 , the village of Nozhovka, Perm Region ) was a Soviet and Russian literary critic , translator of poetry and prose from the Hungarian language. Doctor of Philology , member of the guild of the Master of literary translation .

Biography
He graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University (1961) and the graduate school IMLI (1968). In 1969, he defended his Ph.D. thesis on “The creative way of Lajos Kassak ” at IMLI, and in 1988 the same doctoral thesis “The artistic conflict in the literature of socialist Hungary”. Author of many works on the history of Hungarian literature. In 1969 - 1994 he worked at IMLI RAS. Since 1994 - Leading Researcher at the Institute of Slavic Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences .

He translated works by Endre Adi , Mihai Babić , Adam Bodor , Tibor Deri , Fridzhe Zajna, Lajos Kššák, Imre Kertes , Györgya Conrad , Dyjejo Kostolani , Sandora Marai , Miklos Mesei , Lajos Meshterhazi , Zhigmona et al., the essay of Lukács . He prepared in the Literary Monuments series a publication of poems by Balint Balassha and the Tragedy of a Man by Imre Madach .
Recognition
Awarded a number of Hungary awards (see: [1] ), including the Milan Füsht Prize ( 2011 ). Inolit Prize ( 2011 ).
