History
- 08/18/1882 - the 5th East Siberian Line Battalion was formed.
- 10.30.1883 - 4th East Siberian Line Battalion.
- 07/11/1900 - 22nd East Siberian Rifle Regiment with 2 battalions
- 02/10/1904 - the regiment was reorganized into 3 battalions
- 10/11/1905 - the regiment was reorganized into 4 battalions

In October-November 1914 he took part in the Lodz operation as part of 1 army. During the battles, the regiment fought as part of the 6th Siberian division, during which suffered heavy losses, many were captured. In 1916 he took part in the Brusilovsky breakthrough as part of the 8th army. In 1917 he participated in the offensive in the Lviv direction.
