Don C. (real name - Tsydenjap Dondupovich Dondubon ; March 31 (April 13) 1905 - June 14, 1938 ) - Buryat writer and statesman.

Biography
Tsydenjap Dondubon was born in 1905 in the Ayag ulus of the Bodongut somon of the Bichur aimag (now the Bichur district of Buryatia ) in a peasant family. In 1916 he graduated with honors from the Novo-Nikolsky College. In 1923 he became a member of the Komsomol , actively participated in the activities of the Shebertuy Komsomol cell. He opened a school in his native Ayagus ulus. In 1922 he graduated from a month and a half courses of primary school teachers in Khorinsk . He continued teaching at school. In 1924 he was elected a member of the Guchit Hoshun Executive Committee. Then he worked as deputy chairman of the executive committee of the Mukhorshibir aimag . He graduated from volost workers courses in Verkhneudinsk .
Since 1925 he worked in the newspaper " Buryaad-Mongoloy Onen ", and later was its editor. Since 1935, he headed the People's Commissariat of Education of the Buryat-Mongol Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1934. From 1936 to 1937 he worked at the Buryat Book Publishing House.
He was arrested on September 23, 1937, and executed on June 14, 1938. Rehabilitated posthumously on April 20, 1957.
C. Don is the author of a number of ideological works that have made a significant contribution to the formation of Buryat fiction. He wrote the story “Bloody massacre” (1930), the novel “The Moon in the Eclipse” (“Hirtengen Kara”, 1932) and “Poisoning from Brynza” (“Brynzyn Sanha”, 1935) [1] .
