Zion Pinyan (also Fanian and Panyan - Hebrew ציון פיניאן ; born 1951 , Morocco ) - Israeli politician, member of the 18th Knesset from the Likud party .

Biography
Zion Panyan was born in 1951 in Morocco , and in 1956 he and his family repatriated to Israel . Zion did not serve in the army due to disability; he has polio . He graduated from Hebrew and mathematics courses.
Panyan was the principal of a school in Tiberias and also lectured in mathematics at Ohalo College .
For twenty years he was a member of the city council of Tiberias , and since 1989 he also became deputy mayor of the city. He served as chairman of the planning and construction commission, chairman of the cultural centers of Tiberias and director of the department for the restoration and improvement of Tiberias [1] .
In 2006, Zion participated in the Likud primaries , and took 24th place there, but did not get into the Knesset, since the party received only 12 seats in the upcoming elections to the 17th Knesset . In the primaries of 2008, he took 23rd place and went to the Knesset, in the parliamentary elections of the 18th convocation his party received 27 seats [2] .
In 2009, Pinyan and Kadima deputy Shai Hermes developed an amendment to the law on banks, according to which banks will have to provide mortgage loan agreements in Russian, and not just in Hebrew [3] .
Pinyan is married, has six children, lives in Tiberias , speaks Hebrew and Arabic .
