Research Interests
Theoretical analysis of viscous gas flows. On asymptotic models, he studied flows with intense mass transfer, stability of freely interacting viscous-non-viscous flows, and features of the laminar-turbulent transition. Investigated the conditions for the separation of the boundary layer caused by the injection of gas from a streamlined surface.
He constructed a theory of free viscous-inviscid interaction of flows with low surface friction, which simulates a pre-discontinuous flow in the boundary layer. He studied the stability of currents of this kind.
He made a significant contribution to the study of the behavior of perturbations of spatial boundary layers. The results obtained have been applied in analyzing the processes of inhibition of supersonic nonuniform flows ( pseudo-swings ).
Conducted, using the asymptotic model, an analysis of the development of Görtler vortices .
Investigated the distribution of loads on the heat-shielding coating VKS "Buran" .
