When submitting documents for entering the genus into the Velvet Book , two of the Ofrosimov’s pedigrees were provided: Davyd Ofrosimov (1686) and Timofey Ofrosimov (July 6, 1687) with the application of an import letter to Ivan Kunaev (Grigoriev) Ofrosimov for the lots in the villages of Pyushadsky and Supan Odanoev Odyanoev 1613) [1] .
The genus is included in the VI part of the noble genealogy of the Moscow book [2] and the Tula provinces of the Russian Empire [3] .
Five more noble families of Ofrosimov are known, dating back to the second half of the 17th century [3]
Two surnames of the Ofrosimovs are entered in Gerbovnik:
- The offspring of the “ husband is honest ” by Andrei Andreyevich son, who went to the Grand Duke Vasily Vasilyevich (Coat of arms. Part V. No. 39).
- Ofrosimovs whose ancestors were granted estates in 1628 (Coat of arms. Part XII. No. 69) [4] .

Genesis and history
According to the legends of old genealogists , Ofrosimovs descend from " honest husband " Andrei Andreevich Ofrosimov, who left Moldova for Grand Duke Vasily the Dark . This genus, according to the ESB , " undoubtedly existed in the XVI century " [3] . Its true origin has not been established.
Yuri Afanasevich Ofrosimov was governor in Kromy (1641), Mikhail Mikhailovich was governor in Epifani (1651 and 1659), his brother Ivan Menshoy set up a living yard in Moscow (1677) and many mills in palace villages. Timofey Ilyich Ofrosimov was the governor in Shatsk (1688), Afanasy Leontyevich - the chief judge of the Court Order under Catherine II [3] .

Coat of arms of the Ofrosimovs, whose ancestors in 1628 and subsequent years were granted estates and monetary salaries: in a silver shield there is a black horizontal belt, encumbered with three gold Byzantine coins in a row, and accompanied by two green shamrocks above. The shield is crowned with a noble crowned helmet. Crest - two silver ostrich feathers, on which a green shamrock is laid on the green stem. Bait : black and silver on the right, green and silver on the left [5] .
