The Archdiocese of Los Altos of Quesaltenango-Totonicapana ( Latin: Archidioecesis Altensis, Quetzltenanguensis-Totonicapensis ) is the archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Quesaltenango , Guatemala . The Archdiocese of Los Altos of Quetzaltenango Totonicana extends its jurisdiction to the departments of Quetzaltenango and Totonicapan . The dioceses of Quiche , San Marcos , Solola-Chimaltenango , Suchitepekasa-Retaluleuu , Hueuetanango , the Apostolic Vicariates of Isabal , El Peten are included in the metropolis of Los Altos of Quesaltenango-Totonicapana. The Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Los Altos Quesaltenango-Totonicapana is the Church of the Holy Spirit . In the city of Totonicapan is the co- cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel .

History
On July 27, 1921, Pope Pius XI issued Bull Suprema, which established the Diocese of Los Altos, separating it from the Archdiocese of Guatemala . On the same day, the diocese of Los Altos entered the Metropolitanate of Guatemala.
On March 10, 1951, the Diocese of Los Altos transferred part of its territory for the construction of the new dioceses of San Marcos and the Diocese of Solola (today - the Diocese of Solola-Chimaltenango ).
On February 13, 1996, Pope John Paul II issued the bull De spirituali Christifidelium , which raised the diocese of Los Altos to the rank of archdiocese, which became known as the diocese of Los Altos Cesaltenango Totonicapana.
On December 31, 1996, the Archdiocese of Los Altos Kesaltenango-Totonicapana transferred part of its territory for the construction of the new diocese of Suchitepecas-Retaluleu .
