Trophological insufficiency is a syndrome in which there is an imbalance between the needs of the body and the intake of nutrients, which is associated either with their insufficient intake from food, or with a violation of utilization in the body.

Etiology
One reason is chronic pancreatitis. Chronic pancreatitis can contribute to the development of both primary and secondary trophological failure.
Pathogenesis of secondary trophological failure
Hypermetabolism, malabsorption, various eating disorders.
Clinical picture
It manifests itself in the form of three syndromes: kwashiorkor , senility and a mixed form of senility-kwashiokor.
Kwashiorkor is a protein deficiency in which a deficiency of the visceral protein pool is observed.
Insanity is a protein-energy deficiency characterized by depletion of the somatic pool of proteins.
