Biography and theater
In 1944-1948 - a student at the Kharkov Theater Institute . He studied under A.I. Serdyuk .
In 1948-1950 - artist of the Transcarpathian Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater in Uzhgorod .
In 1950-1961 he served with the Kharkov Academic Theater. T. Shevchenko .
In 1961-1965 - in the Russian Drama Theater. A. S. Griboedov in Tbilisi.
In 1965-1970 - at the Kiev Theater of Russian Drama. Lesia Ukrainka .
Since 1970, Boris Stavitsky played for more than 20 years on the main stage of Ukraine - at the Kiev Academic Drama Theater. I. Frank (1970-1990).

Teaching activities
Simultaneously with his work on the stage, B.P. Stavitsky taught in 1953-1957 at the Kharkov Theater Institute, at the studio school at the Theater named after T. G. Shevchenko (1958-1960) and for about 40 years from 1967 to 2003 - at the Kiev State Institute of Theater Arts. I. Karpenko-Kary (now the Kiev National University of Theater, Film and Television named after I.K. Karpenko-Kary .
Since 1976, B.P. Stavitsky is an assistant professor, and since 1991, he is a professor in the department of acting and directing drama.
During his work at the Kiev Institute of Theater Arts. Professor Karpenka-Karyi, Professor Boris Stavitsky, has released 6 acting courses, more than 100 actors of Ukrainian theater and television, among them his students are People's Artists of Ukraine P. Benyuk , Y. Gavrilyuk and E. Fedorchenko , actor and director G. Gladiy , People’s artist of Ukraine S. Boklan , Alexander Mateshko, V. Andrienko , artistic director of the Kiev Drama Theater “Bravo” Lyubov Titarenko and many other talented theater and film artists.
He was buried in the Southern cemetery of Kiev.
