History
Date of establishment not established. In the summer of 1931, a state farm No. 383 “10 years of the Komsomol of Kalmykia” was organized with a central estate in the Khunshuki tract [2] . Nevertheless, it can be assumed that the village by this time already existed here. So, on the map of 1896, approximately at the location of the modern village Manychsky, the rate of the 2nd Baga-Tugtunov family is indicated [3] .
According to the “List of Populated Places of the Stavropol Province” in 1909, in the Khamshuki tract there were 43 yards, 139 male and 91 female souls lived, there was a school, a bread store, 2 fire trucks [4] .
In 1933, the construction of residential buildings, a club, and a village council began. A four-year school opened, which became two-year-old after two years. The state farm had a livestock profile, arable land was only 450 hectares. In 1941, before the outbreak of war and the deportation of Kalmyks, the population of the state farm was 1,600 people [2] .
The village, like other settlements of the Yashalta district, was transferred to the Rostov region. In August 1949, the village of Khanshuk (as in the source) was renamed the village of Manychsky [5] .
The Kalmyk population began to return after the lifting of restrictions on movement in 1956 [6] . The village was returned to the newly formed Kalmyk Autonomous Region in 1957 [5] .
