“My Favorite Martian” is an American science fiction comedy of 1999, based on the eponymous series of the 60s, telling the story of a Martian who was friendly in the house of a simple American man in the street, bringing him endless worries. Despite the modern effects of those days, humor and a rich cast of actors, failed at the box office.

Content
Story
Events take place in the city of Santa Barbara. Tim O'Hara ( Jeff Daniels ), who works on television under Mr. Channing ( Michael Lerner ) and is threatened with dismissal in the event of a report failure, hurries off for a report from the launch site of the Atlantis shuttle at Vandenberg Air Force Base. At first, everything was going well, but Tim, keen on reading the text, suddenly dropped the phrase into the microphone for the correspondent Brace, the daughter of the boss ( Elizabeth Hurley ), who was taking an interview at the moment, and she repeated after him. After this scandal, Tim was immediately fired from work, and he drove home on the night road. During the trip, something similar to a UFO hovered over him, interrupting the signal of radio stations, due to which the conversation in the spaceship was heard on the radio. The spaceship makes an emergency landing.
Tim picked up a small spaceship, and this is where his adventures began. Having got acquainted with Martian Martin ( Christopher Lloyd ) closer, Tim decided to make a sensation out of him, secretly shooting him on camera. However, Brace accidentally discovers a video of a living Martian.
In addition, a new threat arose - the spaceship launched a countdown to its explosion. And friends have to urgently act to eliminate both threats and return Martin home.
