History

Foundation
The oldest document in the archive is the order (station wagon) on May 21, 1682, of Hetman Ivan Samoilovich to Colonel Yakov Pavlovsky and his regiment to swear allegiance to Tsar Peter Alekseevich .
Documents from the funds of the office of the Kiev governor, provincial government, treasury, provincial statistical committee provide information on the emergence and development of industry, the technical equipment of factories and manufactories, the construction of railways, bridges, postal stations; there are documents on the creation of sugar, tobacco, leather factories, on the production and export of sugar to England, Germany, Finland, Persia.
The documents of the funds of the Kiev civil governor, provincial government, provincial inventory committee, provincial peasant affairs, world mediators highlighted agrarian issues, the mass ruin of peasants, the peasant movement, in particular, the uprising in the village of Turbay (1789), the preparation and conduct of agrarian reform 1861 years, the Stolypin reform . The same funds contain information on the participation of the Ukrainian people in the Patriotic War of 1812 , on the movement of troops across the territory of the Kiev province , the participation of the population in the equipment of regiments, and on losses resulting from the war. There are documents on the movement of the Decembrists - the uprising of the Chernigov regiment in Vasilkov (December 29, 1825 - January 3, 1826).
The collection of maps and drawings contains plans for the borders of the Kiev governorship , maps of the province of Kiev, settlements, designs and drawings of buildings.
The Soviet period is represented by funds that contain documents on the organization and work of local organs of Soviet power and administration, the construction and reconstruction of factories and plants, the implementation of five-year plans, the collectivization of agriculture, the development of state and cooperative trade, electrification and radioification, the development of public utilities and transport .
The archive stores documents of the period of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The state and development of health care are covered by documents from the funds of the provincial, district, regional and district health departments.
Among the funds of personal origin are the foundation of the historian-archaeologist M. Berlin , poet P.S. Potseluev, noblemen of Kamensky, director of the Institute of Biology of the Academy of Sciences D. Beling , member of the Ukrainian Central Rada from the Social Democratic Party of Ukraine S. Veselovsky, writer, member of the drafting committee Dictionary of Ukrainian spoken language at the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR Grinchenko , Professor of the Kiev Industrial Institute Gubarev G.M., M.P. Kuznetsov , Architect-Restorer, Laureate of the State Prize for Architecture E. The documents of the archives of the Communist Party of Ukraine and Komsomol are presented by the funds of the regional, city, district and city committees of the party, the primary party organizations.
