Certification

A beginner starts with a white belt (10th kyp), passing through 9 kyp, then the 8th kyp, and so on until the 1st kyp. Starting from the white (10 kyp) to the red belt (2 kyp), certification is usually held every three months. The owner of the red belt with a black patch (1 gyp) must train for at least six months before he can pass on the 1st dan. Everyone can get a black belt of 1 dan in 2.5 - 4 years, depending on the abilities, the frequency of training and the frequency of certification.

9th dan is honorable, it is awarded for merit in promoting taekwondo. Belt color value

White

Yellow

Green

- The color of blossoming nature, the color of summer. At this level, the teacher sees that the sown grains are already sprouting in the student, but these grains are still very small and weak. The student takes the first steps in understanding and perceiving taekwondo and himself as a whole.

Blue

- The color of the sky and the deep sea. A student wearing this belt thinks about the immensity of the world, the unknowability of all taekwondo, realizes that he is a particle of the whole. The owner of the blue belt rises to new heights of taekwondo and simultaneously descends into the unexplored depths of the philosophy of martial art.

Red

- The color of ripeness of fruits and the maturity of knowledge, the color of autumn - the time of harvest and summing up. The winner of the red belt should look at the distance traveled and identify new goals and new tasks.

The black

- The color of wisdom. The black color combines all the colors of the spectrum - he has comprehended all the steps of taekwondo, has gone through all the stages from white to red. The owner of a black belt is a fighter who has mastered the technique, morality, culture and etiquette of taekwondo.
