Kyle Lowry ( born March 25, 1986 in Philadelphia , PA , USA ) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Toronto Raptors National Basketball Association . He plays as a point guard . He was selected by the 2006 NBA draft in the first round under the general 24th number by the Memphis Grizzlies Club.

NBA Career
In the first game of the debut season against the New York Knicks , Lowry spent 28 minutes on the court, scored 6 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 interceptions and 1 block shot [1] . However, the season ended for him very quickly: in the tenth game of the season, Lowry was injured in the wrist at the Quicken Loens Arena , the Cleveland Cavaliers home arena [2] . In his first season, the player scored 5.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists on average per game. On December 7, 2007, Lowry scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in 50 minutes played in a match against New Orleans Hornets [3] , ending with the defeat of Memphis in overtime 116-118. On February 19, 2009, Lowry ended up at Houston as a result of a multilateral exchange between Memphis, Houston and Orlando [4] .
After the end of the 2009-2010 season, Lowry became a limited free agent. On July 14, 2010, he accepted the Cleveland offer for 4 years and $ 23 million [5] . A week later, the Rockets repeated this proposal [6] .
December 3, 2010 Lowry scored 28 points and 12 assists in a game with Memphis, ending with a Houston 127-116 victory. December 7, 2010 he again scored a record 12 passes for himself, but added to this 6 interceptions (which was the best result in the player’s career) in the match against Detroit Pistons . December 17, 2010 Lowry set a new personal record, gaining 18 assists, adding to this 17 points and 5 interceptions [7] .
On February 16, before the break for the NBA All-Star game, Lowry set a personal performance record by scoring 38 points in a lost match against a team from his hometown . On March 20, 2011, the player made his first triple double in his career, gaining 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists [8] . At the same time, Lowry was named the best player of the week in the western conference.
On July 11, 2012, Kyle was traded at the Toronto Raptors for Gary Forbes and the upcoming draft pick of the first round [9] .
