Career

Club

He started his career in the Horne and Thors Ugilt clubs, and later in 1981 joined the Ikast team. Having played 301 games in it, he switched to the Danish “ Brøndby ” (this club was the reigning champion of Denmark) instead of Peter Schmeichel . The first season was unsuccessful, but entrenched in the team. Total spent 353 games and scored one goal, which, however, is well known to the fans of the club: in the 1995/96 season Brøndby played against AGF , and at the end of the game the score was 2: 3 in favor of the team from Aarhus. Krog in the last minute ran into the penalty area, where they were supposed to deliver the ball after a corner, and with a good head kick, ferried the ball into the goal, equalizing the score in the match. In the same season, the club won the championship in Denmark.

66 matches were played in European competitions: in the 1997 UEFA Cup, Krog became famous again, having beaten off a penalty in a match against Spanish “ Tenerife ”. And in the 1998/99 season in the Champions League, his team defeated Bayern with a score of 2: 1. By the end of 1999, Krogh became the best player in the club.

In the national team

He played only 10 matches for the national team, as he could not compete with Peter Schmeichel. Nevertheless, he played in the European Championships 1992 and 1996, the King Fahd 1995 Cup and the 1998 World Championships - his teammates were Lars Hyog and Peter Kjaer . Krog managed to hold several full matches in the King Fahd Cup in 1995 - he came on as a substitute and scored two penalties in the semifinals against Mexico , and in the final, the Danish team beat Argentina with a score 2: 0.

After career

In 2002, he became press officer of the club "Brøndby". Three years later he decided to leave the club, but after a month he was persuaded to take up the position of goalkeeping coach. One of his colleagues was Kim Vilfort , teammate and another 1992 European champion.
