From 1886 to 1888 he devoted himself to research at the faculty of pathological anatomy and for two years headed the research direction in the field of bacteriology in the laboratory of Professor Andre Victor Cornil . In 1895 he was appointed a doctor supervising hospitals in Paris , and since 1904 he began to teach at the Faculty of Medicine. In 1905, he began to work as a doctor at the Hôpital Cochin hospital and headed the medical clinics of the same institution.
Vidal wrote a series of works on infectious diseases, erysipelas, heart, liver, nervous system diseases, etc. In addition, he made a significant scientific contribution in the form of publications in various medical journals and encyclopedias.
