Description
Station 1 class. It serves in two directions of passenger lines: Riga - Skulte and Riga - Valga. It has five electrified paths, of which only three are used.
In Soviet times, at the beginning of the electrification of the Riga-Sigulda section, it was planned that all five electrified tracks would be used in traffic, trains to Skult and Sigulda would run more frequently, and diesel trains would follow in the direction of Valga and Ruyiena. It was also planned to put electric trains from Skulte and Sigulda towards Aizkraukle, on the Zemitan - Skirotava stage.
At the station, sorting and sedimentation of freight cars are carried out, there are several access roads to commodity transshipment bases.
