Biography
Issa was born on October 7, 1949 in the village of Fedorovka, Fedorovsky district, Kustanai region, Kazakh SSR .
In 1961, Isa, together with his parents, moved to the Caucasus. He graduated from 10 classes in Yandyr high school. From 1972 to 1988 he worked in the Nazran Department of the Interior. In the last years of his life he was actively engaged in creativity.
In 1983, a personal exhibition of Isa Barkhanoev was held in the building of the Nazran Museum of Military, Revolutionary and Labor Glory.
During the period of his creative activity in the field of painting, Isa Barkhanoev painted more than 500 paintings [1] .
He died on June 24, 2002.
In November 2002, a personal exhibition of the works of Issa Barkhanoev was opened at the Palace of Culture of the city of Nazran. The exhibition was dedicated to the memory of a gifted artist transmit on the canvas their most secret thoughts and feelings embodied in concrete images and fantastic characters that characterize life as the highest form of spirituality .
The artist’s works are stored in the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Ingushetia, in the Museum of the Memorial Complex for the Victims of Repression of the Republic of Ingushetia, in the Ingush Museum of Local Lore named after T. Malsagova, in private collections [1] .
Awards and titles
By a decree of the President of the Republic of Ingushetia dated April 17, 2002, Ishan Abasovich Barkhanoev was awarded the title of “People's Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia”.
In 2004, by presidential decree, he was awarded the Order of Merit for services to the Republic of Ingushetia and many years of creative activity.
