Content
Biography
Born in Barnaul in the family of hydraulic engineering. After graduating from a nine-year school in 1928-1930 he studied in Novosibirsk at the Proletkult art studio [1] . Since 1930 he lived in Leningrad.
In 1939 he graduated from the I.E. Repin LIZHA in the workshop of battle painting R. Frents with the title of artist of painting. Thesis - the picture "Chapaev and Frunze near Ufa" [2] . This work is stored in the funds of the Military History Museum of Artillery, Engineering and Signal Corps in St. Petersburg [3] .
After graduation, he worked as an artist in the Leningrad Museum of the Revolution, where he painted two battle paintings on the actions of the First Cavalry Army. In 1939-1940 he was in the army as an artist during the war with the White Finns. In 1940 he was admitted to the Leningrad Union of Artists . He died at the front in 1942.
The works of B. S. Gennadiev are in museums and private collections in Russia.
