Gadilbek Minazhevich Shalakhmetov (born June 9, 1943, Chistaya Island of the Kamyzyaksky District of the Astrakhan Region ) is a Soviet, Kazakhstani publicist, author of more than 300 scientific and journalistic articles, screenwriter. Academician of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Natural Sciences (KazNAEN) . Since 2009 - Head of the Department of Television and Public Relations of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University [1] . Honored Worker of Kazakhstan ( 1996 ). Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize ( 1978 ).

Education
1961 - 1966 - student of the metallurgical faculty of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute .
1974 - 1976 - studied at the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors ( Moscow ).
Career
In 1960-1961, he was a worker, then an apprentice at the Institute of Metallurgy and Processing of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR .
In 1961-1962 he was a smelter at the Ust-Kamenogorsk lead-zinc plant.
From 1964 to 1974 he worked at the Alma-Ata Television Studio : editor of the editorial staff of exchange programs, editor of folk art, senior editor of the creative association “Peers”, editor-in-chief of the editorial board of youth and children’s programs, senior editor-manager of the TV program exchange department of the local editorial board television and radio broadcasting.
Since 1976, he has been a commentator-columnist for the Main Edition of Kazakh TV programs, then transferred to the Kazakhtelefilm studio as a member of the screenwriting and editorial board.
In 1977 - 1982, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Main Edition of Propaganda of Kazakh Television .
In 1982-1983 , he was the chief editor of the Goskino of the Kazakh SSR .
Since 1983 - Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Kazakh SSR on Television and Radio Broadcasting , in February 1986 was appointed Chairman of the State Radio and Television of the Kazakh SSR .
From May 1990, he was the head of the department for press relations and the study of public opinion of the Office of the President of the Kazakh SSR, and from January 1, 1991, he was the press secretary of the President of the Kazakh SSR.
In 1991 - 1992 - First Deputy Minister of Press and Mass Media of the Kazakh SSR - Chairman of the State TV and Radio Company "Kazakhstan" .
In 1992 - head of the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan .
In 1992-2002 - Chairman of the interstate television and radio company Mir .
Since 2000 - freelance adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From February 10, 2003 to November 2004, by the order of the State Property and Privatization Committee , he was appointed President of the OJSC NC “KazakhInformation Agency KazInform” .
In 2002-2004 , he was president of the Kazakh information agency Kazinform .
