The national regulator is the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology ( ANRCETI ). On the territory of Moldova, there are three mobile operators in GSM and UMTS standards - Orange , Moldcell and Unite , as well as two operators in the CDMA standard - Unité and the second in the territory of Transnistria - Interdnestrcom . The operator Eventis due to financial problems suspended the license and services are not provided. The penetration of mobile communication as of December 31, 2009 was 78.1% with the number of subscribers of 2,785,000 [1] (excluding Transnistria). In addition, there are fixed-line operators - Moldtelecom , Arax , StarNet , Calea Ferată din Moldova, Sicres and others. Moldtelecom has a market share of fixed network subscribers about 95%. The main Internet providers are Moldtelecom, Arax, StarNet , SunCommunications .
The operator of state-protected information and telecommunication systems is the State Enterprise Center for Special Telecommunications (in accordance with Government Decision No. 735 of June 11, 2002, "On Special Telecommunication Systems of the Republic of Moldova" [2] ).
