Chkalovsky district is one of the seven inner-city districts of the city of Yekaterinburg . Named in honor of Valery Pavlovich Chkalov .

The population of the Chkalovsky district, according to the results of the All-Russian census of 2002, is 2,33817 people; including urban - 226623 people, rural - 7194 (v. Gorny Shchit , v. Sysert , v . Shabry , v . Priiskovy , v . Rudny ).
