Saparmyrat Hajy Mosque ( Turkmen. Saparmyrat Hajy metjidi ) is a mosque in the city of Gokdepe (formerly Geok-Tepe) in Turkmenistan . It was erected in memory of the defenders of the Geoktepe fortress [1] . The mosque has four minarets .

History
The project was developed by the Ashgabat architect Kakadzhan Durdyev. The mosque was opened in 1995 , and named after the President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov . The mosque was built by the French company Bouygues in one year [2] .
In 2008, the mosque was reconstructed [3] by the Turkish company SUR Turizm Insaat Tijaret ve sanayi LTD STI. The contractor carried out the design and construction of a complex of premises for the “sadak” ceremony for 1000 seats and the museum building with landscaping of the surrounding area. The reconstruction cost is 34 million US dollars.
