Novopyatigorskoye Lake is an artificial lake in Pyatigorsk , fed by the Podkumok River, the main reservoir of the city.

The filling of the lake began in 1961. The official inauguration of the Novopyatigorsk lake took place in June 1965 [1] . Altitude - 519 m [2] .
One side of the lake is tiled and adjoins the park, the other adjoins the river, where camping is possible.
The beaches of the lake offer views of Mashuk and Beshtau . Every year, before the bathing season, the lake is put in order: they release the water and again collect from the river.
The lake is used for swimming in the summer, and fishing is possible in adjoining ponds. There is a first-aid post and a police room. In summer, boat rental is available.
The administration of the city of Pyatigorsk is developing an investment project for a sports and recreation complex, which will include a water park, an amusement park, a sanatorium and a conference hotel [3] .
